Controversial Saudi golf tournament turns into mini Trump campaign event

Tickets for a controversial Saudi-sponsored tournament at Donald Trump's New Jersey golf course reportedly cost as little as $1.

Trump and his fans did their best to turn the tournament into a mini campaign event

Trump was seen raising his fist on the 16th tee with Christian nationalist Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green (R-Ga.) watching the action.

Trump mocked the new LIV tournament from Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund.

Families of 9/11 victims and survivors have called on Trump to refuse to hold the tournament.

In response to the criticism, Trump on Thursday tore into "the crazy people who did that horrible thing" of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

But insisted that "no one has gotten to the bottom of 9/11."

He insisted to the Wall Street Journal earlier in the week that the response to Khashoggi's brutal killing was "dead."

In 2016, Trump himself repeatedly pointed to the Saudis as the perpetrators of 9/11.
