Uttarakhand Bus Accident: The Pauri Garwhal bus accident, which happened on Tuesday night in the Birokhal neighborhood of Dhumakot, resulted in at least 25 fatalities. Overnight, 21 individuals were saved by the police and the SDRF, and those who were injured have been sent to local hospitals.
According to local reports from the area, the bus accident happened close to the Simri bend while it was traveling from Laldhang to a village in Bironkhal with about 50 members of a wedding party on board.
Both Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed their condolences. “The bus accident in Pauri, Uttarakhand is heart-rending. In this tragic hour my thoughts are with the bereaved families. I hope those who have been injured recover at the earliest. Rescue operations are underway. All possible assistance will be provided to those affected,” according to PM Modi.
“I pray to God to grant the departed souls a place at his feet and speedy recovery of the injured. In this hour of grief, our government stands with the bereaved family members,” CM Dhami tweeted in Hindi. He inquired about the accident at the State Disaster Management Center as well.

Later on Wednesday, Dhami and Ajay Bhatt, the MoS for Defense, arrived in Simdi village, the spot of the unfortunate disaster.
At roughly 7.30 p.m., the accident happened. The disaster control center reported that although rescue attempts have been started with the assistance of locals, the rescuers’ efforts are being hampered by darkness. Authorities, ambulances, illumination, and life-saving tools were dispatched to the accident spot.
Using the torches on their cell phones, the locals are attempting to rescue individuals trapped inside the bus because there are no lights at the accident spot, according to eyewitness accounts from Tuesday.
