Filmmaker Mohit Suri’s Ek Villain Returns, which hit the screens on July 29 alongside Kichcha Sudheep starrer Vikrant Rona, is doing well at the box office. In an exclusive conversation with press media, one of its lead actors, Tara Sutaria, says that she felt a sense of security when she learned that Suri was directing the film and had a good idea about the end result.

Apart from the music that made it easy to agree to the film, she explains, “Since Mohit was making the second part, I felt safe in the knowledge that he had done the first film (Ek Villain; 2014). , who better than him to make it? At a very basic level, Arjun (Kapoor), Disha I knew that (Patani) and John (Abraham) would fit in even if the story was removed. It was very important to have that. That intuitive feeling of the whole unit working together.”

Ek Villain Returns is Sutaria’s debut as a singer in Bollywood. Titled Shaamat, the track she recorded got a lot of attention and looking at the response, she wants to continue singing in upcoming projects as well. “When we were shooting for the song in Goa, it was also the first day Arjun and I were working together. I got to record Shaamat on stage. Lip-syncing to my own voice was crazy! An experience not many young actors get. I hope I can continue that in the upcoming films,” she says.
