Russell Wilson Reacts To The News Of Brutal Broncos Injury

This Tuesday, a nightmare scenario unfolded at the Denver Broncos’ practice.

Two Broncos offensive players — starting wide receiver Tim Patrick and fourth-string running back Damarea Crockett — suffered season-ending injuries. A terrible development, especially at this time of year.

Russell Wilson had begun to develop a strong bond with Patrick, making this loss all the more significant.

The Broncos quarterback sent Patrick a message via Twitter this Tuesday night.

“Going to miss balling w/ you @Tpstreets You’ve overcome every challenge in your life and you will overcome this one. Faith is stronger than the circumstances,” he said.

With Tim Patrick out, the Broncos will move forward with Cortland Sutton, Jerry Judy and KJ Hamler as starters in the receivers room.

It’s also plausible that Denver looks to the free-agent market for more depth. But as Broncos insider Benjamin Albright pointed out, the team now has good depth at the wide receiver position.

“The Broncos have a lot of receiver depth right now, and I’d be surprised if they signed him right away,” he said.

let’s see. Losing a player like Patrick would hurt, and the Broncos may look to find a better replacement.
