Telangana minister KT Rama Rao was shocked to learn that Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had reprimanded a district collector for being unable to tell her how much rice was distributed through fair-price shops between the federal government and the state.

The event was reported from Birkroor while a Union Minister was inspecting a Public Distribution System (PDS) ration.
Nirmala Sitharaman, the minister of finance, also questioned Jitesh Patil, the district collector, about the absence of the prime minister’s portrait.
