Bennifer finally made it down the aisle! Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are officially husband and wife.
The two tied the knot late Saturday night at A Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada. Lopez confirmed on Sunday via the JLo Fan Newsletter that the two were indeed married, and she shared photos, videos and details from the big night. “We did it,” she wrote. “Love is beautiful, love is kind, love is patient, twenty years of patience.”

“Last night we flew to Vegas and stood in line for the license with four other couples, all making the same trip to the wedding capital of the world,” Lopez continued. “Behind us two men holding hands. In front of us, a young couple who drove three hours from Victorville on their daughter’s second birthday – the same thing for all of us – to have the world recognize us as partners. And to declare our love to the world through the ancient and almost universal symbol of marriage.”
Lopez adds that they “had a hard time” at the wedding chapel by midnight, but they “graciously” stayed open, “allowing the couple to take pictures in a pink Cadillac convertible, apparently once used by the King himself (but if we wanted Elvis to show himself, it cost extra, he was in bed).”
While the wedding wasn’t as glamorous as fans have come to expect from Bennifer, Lopez said, “It was the best wedding we could have ever imagined.”

The bride and groom used “a dress from an old movie and a jacket from Ben’s closet” for the ceremony. Lopez and Affleck “recited each other’s vows in a small chapel and gave each other the rings we’ll wear for the rest of our lives.”
“When love is real, the only thing that matters in marriage is the promise we make to love, care, understand, be patient, love, and do good to each other,” Lopez wrote. “We had that. And so much more. The best night of our lives.”
Court documents posted Sunday revealed that Lopez, 52, and Affleck, 49, obtained their licenses Saturday in Clark County, Nevada, the Associated Press reported. TMZ first reported the news. The filing shows that Lopez plans to adopt the name Jennifer Affleck.
“They were right when they said ‘all you need is love,'” Lopez said in her news release on Sunday. “We are so grateful to have a new wonderful family of five amazing children and a life we have never had more reason to hope for. … Love is a great thing, perhaps the best – and worth waiting for.”
The singer signed off, “With love, Mrs. Jennifer Lynn Affleck.”

Lopez announced her engagement to Affleck in April in a video shared with JLo Fan Newsletter.
The video showed Lopez admiring the ring, whispering, “You’re perfect.” Affleck proposed with a ring that featured two smaller diamonds on either side of a large green diamond in the middle — a different shade than the pink diamond he first proposed to her with nearly 20 years ago.
Lopez revealed the details of Affleck’s “bubble bath proposal” in another issue of her newsletter the following week.
“Saturday night in my favorite place on earth (in a bubble bath), my beautiful love got down on one knee and proposed,” Lopez wrote at the time. “I looked him in the eye, laughing and crying at the same time, trying to get my head around the fact that it was happening again after 20 years, completely escaping me.”
She added, “I was literally speechless and he said, ‘Is that true?’ I said, ‘Yes, of course it’s a yes.’ ”
Fresh off Lopez’s split from former baseball player Alex Rodriguez in April 2021, Lopez and Affleck sparked reconciliation rumors after the pair were spotted together on multiple occasions.
The two confirmed their relationship by going Instagram official last July, when Lopez posted a photo of herself kissing Affleck while celebrating his 52nd birthday. “5 2 … what does that do …,” she wrote in the relationship reveal.
The couple met on the set of the 2002 romantic comedy “Gigley,” while Lopez was married to her second husband, dancer Chris Judd. Although the film flopped at the box office, sparks continued to fly between Lopez and Affleck. The pair went public with their relationship shortly after Lopez’s divorce from Jude.
The “Hustlers” star told PEOPLE when she met Affleck at the time, “I was like… ‘Okay, this is it.’ ”
“Bennifer” took over pop culture early on. The Hollywood power couple got engaged in November 2002, but the bended knee didn’t end happily ever after. Lopez and Affleck ended their engagement in 2004, and the demise of their relationship received all the media attention.
In 2008, Affleck suggested that he and Lopez were being too public with their high-profile relationship.
“I think we made a mistake when we fell in love with Jen, we were too enthusiastic and maybe too accessible,” Affleck said. own.”
