Vishwakarma Jayanti 2022
On the day known as Vishwakarma Jayanti, Lord Vishwakarma the supreme creator of the universe had appeared on earth. This year the puja will be celebrated on September 17. On October 26, 2022, following Diwali, Bihar and certain other regions of North India will have another, very famous Puja of Lord Vishwakarma. It is also observed on the day of Rishi Panchami in Kerala. In various regions of India, the Puja is also performed around the time of Diwali.
The puja date on September 17, 2022, will be mostly observed in eastern India, specifically in West Bengal, Jharkhand, Orissa, and Tripura. This was the most well-known and significant Biswakarma Puja of the year.
Lord Vishwakarma is referred to as the divine builder and architect of the universe in Hinduism. He is credited with creating Sthapatya Veda, the science of construction and mechanics, and his name first occurs in the Rigveda.
Happy Vishwakarma Puja:
On the day of Vishwakarma Jayanti, special pujas are performed in temples and in workplaces by laborers, artisans, carpenters, craftsmen, mechanics, smith and other workers. They ask God for a brighter future, secure working conditions, and prosperity in their respective fields above anything else. Additionally, employees pray for the efficient operation of numerous machines.
In Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh, Puja is primarily honored during the month of Magh. On the Magh Shukla Paksha Trayodashi Tithi, it occurs.
Lord Vishwakarma is revered as the world’s creator and swayambhu. He built the palace of Indraprastha for the Pandavas, the holy city of Dwarka where Krishna reigned, and also the creator of magnificent weapons for the gods.
It is also celebrated a day after Diwali, along with Govardhan Puja in October–November.
