The long-awaited Black Adam superhero debut of Dwayne Johnson is almost here. It marks the confirmation of casting rumors that go back as far as 2007, and, in Johnson’s words, it marks the start of “a new era in the DC world.” Although we didn’t quite agree with that sentiment in our Black Adam review.

Black Adam Streaming

There has been no official announcement regarding Black Adam’s streaming status, and it is not currently possible to watch it online. Black Adam should eventually air on HBO Max, though, given that it is a Warner Bros. production.

Warner no longer promises that films will be available on HBO Max beyond 45 days, thus we are unsure of the precise streaming date. For comparison, Warner’s two most recent films, Elvis and DC League of Super-Pets, debuted in theaters 70 days and 59 days, respectively, before being released on HBO Max. Black Adam would premiere on HBO Max in the middle to end of December if it were to arrive inside the 60-70 day range.

The first-ever feature film for the DC superhero is titled Black Adam. Here is the Warner Bros. official plot summary:

Teth Adam received the almighty powers of the God in prehistoric Kahndaq. After using his powers for vengeance, he was imprisoned and transformed into Black Adam. After almost 5,000 years, Black Adam has gone from a real man to a myth and then to a legend. Now released, his unique form of Justice, born out of rage, is challenged by modern- day Heroes , who from the Justice Society: Hawkman, Dr. Fate, Atom Smasher, and Cyclone.
