Investigations into the death of Ankita Bhandari have shown that the primary suspect, Pulkit Arya, met Patwari Vaibhav a day after the victim’s murder.
A village’s administrative officer, Patwari is in charge of keeping track of land records.
The complaint regarding Ankita’s missing was first filed up with Vaibhav. Following the accusations, he was suspended from his post (Patwari).
Deeper investigation is also being done right now into the meeting between Pulkit and Vaibhav.
Ankita’s friend Pushp had stayed at the resort on September 14–15, according to the investigation. On September 16, Pushp had returned to Jammu.
ALL ACCUSED ARE TAKEN INTO A 3-DAY REMAND BY SIT:
The three primary suspects have been taken into remand for three days by a special investigative team (SIT).
This development happens after SIT applied in Kotdwarfor court to take the accused into remand . Then the judge granted Pulkit, Ankit, and Saurabh a three-day remand.
The three suspects were earlier brought before the judge and placed in judicial custody for a period of 14 days.
MURDER OF ANKITA BHANDARI CASE:
Ankita Bhandari, a 19-year-old receptionist at a hotel in Uttarakhand close to Rishikesh, was allegedly murdered by the hotel’s owner and two of his accomplices.
According to an official, the three suspects—including resort owner Pulkit Arya—were arrested within 24 hours of the case being handed over to the regular police force on September 22 by the revenue police.
Bhandari’s body was found on September 24 according to the accusers, who said they had pushed her into the Chilla canal on September 18.
The primary accused Pulkit Arya is the son of former BJP leader Vinod Arya, who was expelled by the party when Pulkit’s name came up in the case.
Also on Wednesday, an RSS office bearer was arrested for sedition and fomenting caste strife after posting an offensive message on social media against Bhandari’s family in the wake of her murder.
