Aamir Khan reportedly decided to forego his salary for his most recent film, “Laal Singh Chaddha,” due to the film’s huge box office failure. According to Bollywood Hungama, he “accepted” his payments totaling Rs 100 crore in order to make up for the losses incurred by Viacom 18 Studios. One of the two production firms responsible for the film is Viacom, with the other being Aamir Khan Productions, owned by the star.

A source said to the media, “Aamir Khan would have caused losses to Viacom 18 Studios of about Rs. 100 crores if he decided to charge his acting costs. Aamir Khan, though, has chosen to accept that loss on his own terms. The producer will now suffer a small financial loss.”
“He worked on the movie for four years, yet he received no payment for it. His potential cost on Laal Singh Chaddha is upwards of Rs. 100 crores, but he has chosen to accept all the losses and take full responsibility for his movie failure “Added the source.
